“Childbirth in the UK, guide for refugees” is a film aimed specifically at pregnant AS&R women to help them navigate the issues they might face throughout their pregnancy and birth. The UK health system is often very different to the ones in the countries these women have travelled from, which can lead to confusion and isolation.
Many AS&R women don’t know what services are available, or how to access them. This film aims to solve this problem offering step by step advice to many of the issues faced by women in this situation. Much like the above film, the content has been developed by AS&R women, who draw on their own experiences to offer guidance.
Once again, thanks is dule to al the brilliant women who helped to make this valuable resource.
