Last week maternity stream volunteers recorded got a chance to share their stories far and wide by recording for a Radio 4 program, Entitlement to Care.

The program will be aired on Friday February 13th at 11am.

Entitlement to Care and covers the experience of asylum seekers when it comes to physical and mental health and access to provision here. We hope it will be a really informative look at the struggles some do have to find and register with GPs against a backdrop of perhaps loneliness, inadequate housing provision and where they might not have the basics needed to properly sustain themselves.

There is also talk on the recordings from maternity stream volunteers being made into a piece for Women’s Hour. We will keep you posted!
